It all happened on an April’s Tuesday. Calea Floreasca, the 9th floor in a building.

Three organizations interplaying. With its 20 members 1and1 was best represented, while the other two organizations – Viitor Plus (Future Plus) and Şcoala de Valori (The School of Values) had only one member each: Gabriela and Stefan. Viitor Plus declared their values are “the desire to succeed”, “the agility”, “sustainability”, “fairness”, “openness” and “responsibility”, and brought them alive during the meeting.

1&1 Internet AG receives the Document Freedom Award 2012

Currently, there are a lot of discussions, from Acta to SOPA, about the copyright and freedom on the Internet within politics, media and on the blogs. In the end, the access to software decides who can become part of the digital society. The Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) pleads for the promotion of free software and the availability of open internet standards. It is four years since the organization together with the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure (FFII) has been awarding the Document Freedom Award for making the open standards available in the network. After each event, we take a step back and try to get the big picture of how things have gone. The second edition of 360 Career Event, organized by BEST Bucharest, had a successful shade of blue: that of 1&1!
We were lucky to have 1&1 by our side from the very first day of 360 Career Event, when they shared valuable tips and tricks about the kick-off of a career at the opening conference! Three days later, during the presentation the company held at Romanian American Foundation, 25 students had the opportunity to discover what a career at 1&1 means. 1&1 knows how to play football

1and1RO Football TeamWe managed a fantastic start in this season of Derby Arena. It was a match dominated by our team from start to finish, a fact also reflected by the final score, 4-1 (2-1 at halftime).
The match could not have started better for us with a beautiful goal scored by Andrei N. After a good period of play of our team, Daniel G was able to increase the difference with a superb goal from midfield. Just before halftime, the guests managed to score a lucky goal.

Pizza Day @1&1

What is Pizza Day? What does it mean to 1&1?
Pizza Day is a tradition that started 5 years ago. It takes place every Wednesday (or Thursday if Wednesday is not possible due to the football tournament matches for example).

Who organizes it?

Geo’s sharp passion

Geo’s got a sharp passion two years ago: throwing feathered needles against a coloured target. It’s called darts and it is recognized as a sport with international competitions and champions.
Geo’s last competition took him a moustache away from the title of champion of the Romanian International Darts Open 2011, when he got eliminated by the winner of the tournament, Joe Murnan.
Now darts is a specific bars’ game, testing long-shot drinkers’ ability to aim peculiar waving targets with sharp needles. Kidding ? Truth is that darts is a sport of good-eye, steady hand, controlling breathe, cool-blooded blokes.
And there are over 250 professionals doing this as darts members of the Romania Darts Federation, of which Geo is the 30th. He has attended over 20 national and international contests, and recalls that the hardest game ever, except the endeavour against Murnan, was in October 2010, at the Bulgarian International Open.

Decorating 1&1 Christmas Tree

My Football Team

I like to run until exhaustion. Chasing a ball, recovering it, passing, occasionally scoring. I like the after-sensation, when the endorphins start kicking in, when even my tongue is heavy for a short time. Unfortunately for me, this exhaustion moment comes much sooner than I would like; but this will improve. I don’t know exactly what drives the others, but we are the 1&1 football team.
